Newspapers for Kerry

Although I'll worry until Nov. 2nd, Kerry will win this election. Here's some "data" on my theory that I wrote about before--No one who voted for Gore in 2000 will vote for Kerry. Plus, newly registered voters are registering because they want change--change for the better.

Newspapers reflect this attitude. This article on the AP wire talks about newspaper endorsements for the candidates. Read:

"According to an ongoing tally by Editor & Publisher, a newspaper industry magazine, so far 125 newspapers have endorsed Kerry — including at least 35 that had endorsed Bush in 2000 — versus 96 for Bush. Meanwhile, only two newspapers that went for Al Gore in 2000 have endorsed Bush."

Voters will reflect this trend. (By the way, an interesting research project would be a historic comparison of newspaper endorsements to the eventual winner of the election).
