Elongated Brevity
Since I have to be up around 4:30am tomorrow to help Megan with decorating Highland High School, I thought I was going to go to bed around 10pm and get a good amount of rest. Yeah right.
Megan went to the spaghetti dinner that the County Democrats were putting on and called me to ask if she could come over and practice her speech one last time. I told her that was okay. When she got here, she told me that Scott, Nathan and Adam were coming over also. Since Brian and I did laundry last night, our clean clothes were all over the living room floor. I tried to hurry and clean up, but I only got enough cleaned up that I wasn't too embarrassed...and I really wasn't embarrassed when they got here because these are my close friends...I don't really care.
When Megan started to give her speech (using the ironing board as a podium), I totally felt like she was President Bartlett from West Wing and the "team" was critiquing her speech. I told everyone that I was C.J. Craig (since she's my favorite). After all the comments were made, Scott and Nathan left and Megan went to the computer to make the necessary notations. Adam also left, but he was going to his house to pick up some materials that we needed to work on.
Megan left to get some rest and Adam, Brian and I put together signs for tomorrow. I was kind of irritated that it was 10pm and I was just starting to put together these signs. I really wish Adam had planned better and done this last night or sometime earlier this week. We didn't stay up too late and I was really glad.
OH! When Megan called me earlier, she told me that the banner that we ordered from the U Copy shop that was supposed to feature her logo didn't turn out. Instead of the logo, the print shop people printed a ginormous picture of Megan and Mckenna. I was really mad, but there was nothing I could do about it. It's kind of funny I guess.

In Adam's defense, the signs had only been printed the day before, and he went to work only an hour or two after they were done. That night I worked until 1 a.m. - then ran errands and necessary things for Megan the next day until the time we did the signs! ;) - Adam G. Bass
