OH - MY- GOSH!

I should get fired right now. I seriously did something that could get me fired, and I risk getting fired by writing it down. Holy crap... I really need to pay more attention to what I'm doing because I really can be absent minded sometimes.

I was talking to a customer, trying to add his name to our database. Usually, our database takes awhile to add a person (I know, you think Intel would have a fast server), so I put the customer on hold. Since I knew it would take about a minute, I started writing my blog entry for Monday, April 11th. (Yes, it's Thursday, but I didn't have time to do it until now). About 10 minutes later, I looked at my phone and noticed a blinking green light. At first, I thought I had gotten another call, but then I realized that I had put someone on hold. I wrote a whole blog entry with my customer on hold. When I got back on the phone, I said, "Sir, are you there? Thanks for holding. I'm really sorry about that hold time. My computer crapped out on me."

The guy didn't get mad and I was extremely courteous to him the rest of the call. I will never do that again.

Forgetting about my customer, I wrote a whole blog entry.
