I'm Selling Toilet Paper on Ebay
I went to Albertson's tonight to buy ground beef. I go at 7:45pm because they have to get rid of any ground beef they have--that means they can sell the $3.99 ground sirloin for cheap. I usually bargain with the person and I offered the butcher $0.49 a pound. He refused and said he'd sell it to me for $0.99 a pound. He told me he never bargains (although some other butchers do). We agreed on the price and I ordered 10 pounds.
Suddenly, a booming voice came over the PA system and said, "Attention shoppers! On aisle twelve, the 24 roll Angel Soft toilet paper, regularly $6, is now on sale for $2 with no limits. Fill up your shopping cart. Supplies are limited and this is a one time offer." As a person who follows direction well, I headed toward aisle twelve and started filling up my shopping cart. It looked as though it was the last toilet paper Albertsons was selling because people were grabbing as many 24-packs as they could. I immediately went to the register, paid for my 288 rolls (costing me $24) and put them into my car. I went back in to get my meat and a few other things (like 20 boxes of Hamburger Helper because I thought we were out--I got home and realized I was wrong).
When Brian got home, he saw what I had done and got "mad." He wanted to know where were going to put all this toilet paper and said we should donate some to charity. He also said that we don't even use one roll a week, so basically we don't have to buy toilet paper for 6 years. We laughed about it and I said if we break up, I'm taking the toilet paper. God, I love shopping in bulk!
