Second to Last Day of Class!
Today was the last day of my International Relations of Latin America class--the one I never went to because the teacher just rambled and the final is take-home. While I'm glad it was an easy class, I wish I had actually learned something. My friend Leah is in that class and afterwards we hung out at the Union and ate pancakes. Since my Constitutional Law professor cancelled the last day of class (yay!), I went to a computer lab to print off some readings I needed to study for my final.
In this specific computer lab, printing is 5 cents a page and you pay by putting coins in a jar. You actually print off your materials and you are "supposed" to put in the appropriate coinage. I, however, never pay this "fee." I already paid $83.08 in mandatory computer fees at the beginning of the semester and I believe that fee covers any printing I may do in that specific computer lab. BYU is actually better in this regard because they require everyone to pay for printing by attaching a machine to all printers and you have to swipe your student ID (which theoretically has money on it) to pay for it. Until the University of Utah makes me pay for printing in this way (which I think they should), my mandatory computer fees cover any printing cost.
I went to work and got to leave early because I told my boss I had to study. I do have to study but there is also a Democratic State Party Chair debate put on my the Young Democrats (which I'm treasurer of). One of my duties as a state delegate to state convention is to vote for the chair of the Utah Democratic Party. I have no clue on who to vote for so this debate was a perfect opportunity for me. I'm still undecided but I thought they all did a good job--even Mike Marty who was kind of mean to the other candidates.
After the debate, I was going to go to the library and study but the U was having their "Kurfuffle" festival (basically an outdoor event with bands and booths). Megan, Anne Looser, and I had dinner at the Union and naturally progressed outside and hung out. I had a great time and even made up my own school club ("Students for Sodomy"). I thought it was funny. I figured that I could study tomorrow all day at the library so I could hang out with Megan and have fun.
(Funny story: Megan was driving her car and trying to find parking at the Union. As she drove down a row of cars, I told her to stop because a car was pulling out right behind her. Instead of turning on her signal, she argued with me, didn't believe me, and started pulling forward. Unfortunately, the car was pulling out and another car was already signaling to take it's place. I was annoyed and voiced this to Megan, but stopped because it wasn't a big deal. I realized that I do this with Brian but I do make it a big deal about it with him. I need to do better at that.)

I'm glad you take your responsibility as a delegate so seriously. Wish I could say the same about your treasurer post...
