Saturday is the day you get ready for Sunday
This morning I helped Megan move some tables into Democratic Party headquarters. It was really nice to wake up early and help someone. I'm glad she asked me. In the afternoon, I played with some home videos on the computer and tried to figure out how to do some things with Adobe Premier.
Megan came over after a meeting she had and we went to wash our cars together. I've always loved washing my car with her for some reason (probably because we did it after the 2004 elections). Because of my little trip with Kristina to the Great Salt Lake, there were tons of mosquito's on the front bumper of my car and I was relieved to finally be cleaning Andrew Jackson.
As Megan was cleaning the inside of her car, I realized how well my mother taught me to clean. Megan sucks at it. She missed all the little details that my Latino eyes could see. I thought it was funny and told Megan that we Hispanics are really great at cleaning and I wanted to use my talent on her car.
We went back to my house to do some scrapbooking, but Chris Hathaway called me and wanted to watch a movie that we had made in high school called the "Seminary Video." It's a movie we made about a seminary 10-year reunion and what everyone was doing. We had skits about everyone in our seminary class--some were nice and some were mean. In high school, we did show it to our seminary class (after cutting the mean parts) and it was a hit. My friends Chris, Chris, and Kevin were all involved and we had a great time making this movie. I really wanted to watch it with the other Chris and Kevin all together, but I caved to Mr. Hathaway because he really wanted to see it.
Before we saw it, though, Megan and I met the Hathaway's at the Broadway theater and saw the movie, Millions. The film was amazing and I loved it! It's the classic story about some kids finding a lot of money, but the director Danny Boyle (who also directed my favorite horror film, 28 Days Later) did some things to make the film amazing. The child stars are cute, the message is wonderful, and the film was visually entertaining in addition to the story telling. I gave it a 10/10 on my own personal ratings.
After the movie, we all went to my house to watch the movie. I thought the greatest part was watching a skit about Chris Hathaway and his wife--with the actual wife we didn't know about when we filmed it. It was hilarious! I really like when Chris and Naomi come to Salt Lake and visit. We need to get together more often.
