Someone is always listening

People need to clean up their mouths when they call the customer service department of any company...especially when they are on hold or being transferred.

I just got a call where the lady was understandably irritated because Intel messed up. After I transferred her, the next Intel employee transferred her again but I was still on the call. I usually put the customer on mute to make sure they get helped. Once she was put on hold and thought no one was listening, I heard things that I thought only sailors would say.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Customers think no one is listening and start calling me stupid or other names. Remember, just because you are on hold does not mean somebody is not listening.
