Two Gay Nix Boys
After I found a seat at church today, a guy on my pew asked me what my last name was. It was an odd question and I figured that he had seen some Pride volunteer signs somewhere and wanted to know if that was me (He looked gay). When I told him, he smiled and said that his last name is Nix too! I thought it was so awesome and I told him we should talk afterward. After the lovely service, I invited them to lunch but he and the guy he was with couldn't. I told them we should do lunch next week (which means I can't skip out on church).
Megan and I went to Sampan after church and ended up scrapbooking all day. I got about four pages done (which shows you how slow I am) but the pages look great. We also went to Wal*Mart (yay!) where I was only going to buy four things but left spending $55 on various things. I bought lots of skincare product!
We also watched Spanglish tonight and I was really disappointed. The story wasn't much of a story--it felt like a friend who rambled on about their summer vacation. At the end of the movie, we find out that Adam Sandler's wife was cheating on him--and then he goes and makes out with the housekeeper. I was disappointed in some of the characters and I wish I saw more of the kids. The movie was supposed to be about the life of the housekeeper in America, but it just turned into movie about the flaws of people. I didn't like it.
