Pride "Friends"
One of the great things about being in charge of a group is getting to know new people and having some of those people turn into friends. I've been text messaging a kid that volunteering that seems pretty cool. He's 18 and he just moved to Salt Lake City from Layton. He text messaged me first and he and I have been talking. He also seems to be new to the gay thing (and I could be wrong) but I think it would be nice to befriend him and help him not become the stereotypical 18-year-old gay boy that is slutty.
One of the bad things is that some people think that you are their friend just because of your interaction. A volunteer just found my yahoo chat name and started chatting with me. Here's our conversation: (Names have been changed)
XXXXXX: heyWhy are people so weird? I was actually offended and repulsed that someone would be so blunt. Not to mention that open relationship's are immoral and disgusting. I blocked his IM name so he can't talk to me online ever again.

There is a great Homer Simpson Quote that is perfect for the situation:
"Sorry, Mr. Burns, but I don't go in for these backdoor shenanigans. Sure, I'm flattered, maybe even a little curious, but the answer is no!"
