Pride Volunteer Appreciation BBQ
Tonight I hosted the Volunteer Appreciation BBQ at Harmony Park for all the Pride volunteers. While I asked people to RSVP, almost no one did; I didn't care because I knew that was going to happen. Megan always says gays are fickle and I'm starting to see what she means.
Although the BBQ did not start until 6:00pm, I decided to start getting everything ready at 3:00pm because I knew I would have to go purchase last-minute items that I forgot about. Nathan and Scott came over at 3:30pm and Nathan brought his brother's truck so we could haul Brian's barbecue over to Harmony Park.
I'm glad I bought the stuff early because I found myself getting last minute items. While the BBQ didn't start until 6pm, some people showed up at 5:30pm and it really annoyed me. The worst part was that all the volunteers that showed up early were all the volunteers that I really didn't like. They were either weird, not hard-working, or they hit on me and I didn't like it.
I actually had a good time and played volleyball for the first time in a long time.

Brian the BBQ Man!

Nathan is gay. So am I. But at least his chest isn't coming out of his shirt.
After the BBQ, Nathan, Megan, Brian and I went to see Batman Begins and I loved it! It was such a great movie! On the way to the movies and on the way back, there was a bottle that Nathan taped to the top of the car. As we were driving home, another car yelled to us, "There's a bottle on your car." To which I replied, "You want to go to a bar?" and Brian said, "You played golf..... (long pause)..... and made par?" We found it hilarious because Brian and I did it at the same time and Brian put the emphasis on the word "golf" rather than "par." It was mostly funny because we sucked at it, but it was really fun.
