Slap! Slap! Slap!, Triple B, "Ain't no Harlem Black Girl!"
I have been waking up early (7:45AM) the last couple of days, so my body clock is set and this morning was no different. Although it felt really weird to wake up at 8AM on a Saturday morning, it was very refreshing and helped me realize how much time is wasted by sleeping in. I really want to keep waking up early and getting things accomplished.
Speaking of accomplishing things, I started playing Civilization III at 8AM and stopped playing when Brian woke up at 11AM. We went to Wal*Mart together: he had to make a deposit and I had to see if they could print a receipt for me that I need for Pride reimbursement (I lost the original). When I went to the customer service center, I was greeted by my favorite Wal*Mart employee, Tanner Brunsdale. Although he is an ex-boyfriend of mine, he's super-nice and I like seeing him when I shop at Wal*Mart. He helped me solve my loss of receipt problem.
Brian and I called Scott and Nathan to see if they wanted to go to lunch, but Nathan was working and Scott declined. At first, we were going to go to the Red Iguana, but Brian changed his mind (because we "always" eat Mexican food) and wanted to go eat Great Souvlaki instead.
After Brian went to work at 2pm, Scott and I hung out. Actually, I wanted to hang out with him and I wanted to use him for his Costco card. It was fun to shop with Scott because he wanted to do it in a methodical way and I just wanted to pick up things when I thought of them. He's so like that and I love it! He really reminds me of my best friend in high school, Chris Hathaway. I think that's why I like him so much.
Nathan caught up with us at 5pm and we went over to my Grandparent's house to make banana bread. Before we got there, we went to Target to pick up supplies and had a little adventure. When Nathan reached for the vinegar, he accidentally caused a glass bottle of vegetable oil to fall and break. I thought it was funny, so I shouted, "Cleanup on aisle one!"
Embarrassed at the situation, Scott and Nathan quickly walked off and we went to purchase our items. I told the checkout lady that she needed to call a clean-up on aisle one. She joked to us by saying, "I won't tell anyone you did it if you fill out this application for a Target card." Nathan relented and filled one out. When she handed one to me, I declined. She thought I was joking and laughed, but I was totally serious. I was not about to get another hit on my credit just so she could make her quota!
We finally made it to my grandparent's house and had a great time making banana bread with all the leftover banana's from Pride. Scott and Nathan are a blast to hang out with and I loved being with them. I hope I have more summer days hanging out with them. As we were making the bread, Nathan acted like he was the host of a cooking show and told us how to smash banana's for the bread (just roll them in the peel to soften them) , fluff the flour before you scoop it into a dry measuring cup, and told us not to pat down dry baking stuff into the measuring cup. Scott and I had a good laugh watching him tell us what to do.
Also, Nathan called Scott "honey" in front of my grandfather. It was really funny to watch his face as he processed it.

Scott and Nathan with the supplies.

My grandparents were getting ready for a wedding reception and I took a few pictures of them getting ready. My grandmother had just put on makeup and my grandfather is picking his nose. I really like this picture.

Cute II
As we were about to leave and were getting into my car, my grandmother yelled for me to come back into the house. I thought I forgot something, but when I asked her what she needed, she asked, "Did you put vanilla in this bread?" When I told her no, she said, "I thought so." I thought it was really funny that she called me all the way back to ask me this.
We left at about 10:00pm and we were all really hungry. When we pulled into the Winger's restaurant parking lot, Nathan got out of the car to see if they were open. After he closed the door, Scott said, "We should drive away." I proceeded to do this and Nathan pretended that my car hit him. He held onto the car and after about 30 seconds, people were coming out of the restaurant to see if Nathan was alright. Embarrassed, Nathan jumped back into the car and we drove away laughing.
By this time, I felt like I was in high school again doing crazy pranks for fun. Most of my high school memories are of me and my friends being dumb and I love doing that as I get older.
As we were driving down the road, Scott made sexy faces to people in cars next to us and we also did the macarena dance to whatever music was playing in my car. One time, a truck pulled up next to us with people in the bed and Nathan asked me to unlock the windows so he could yell something to them. When I rolled down my window, he backed down and said he didn't want to do it. Immediately after that, the two guys in the bed of the truck asked Nathan if he had beer in the cooler that was in my back seat. When Nathan told him it only had water and offered some to them, they accepted. It was so funny to see these two obviously straight and drunk guys drinking water that we handed out at Pride (and had the Pride logo on it)!
We ended up eating at Village Inn on State street; Brian came and we enjoyed telling him all the stories of the night. In typical fashion, Brian just rolled his eyes.
I had such a great time hanging out with Scott during the day and with both Nathan and Scott at night. It was a fabulous Saturday and I want to have many more of them all summer long!
