Intimately Cleaning at 11pm

The lessons of my mother were realized tonight... but at the wrong moment.

For anyone who knows my mother, you know that she is an extremely hard worker. In fact, I don't think I've seen anyone work harder. While I would normally associate this with her ethnicity (El Salvadoran) or gender (woman), I won't here because those things really don't matter and this sentence is meant as a joke for my friend Scott.

Growing up, my mother kept our house clean all the time; in fact, when she came to Utah for my graduation, one of the first things she did when arrived at my apartment was to start cleaning those spots that never get cleaned (the top of the frame of the print that is hanging above our fireplace).

Tonight, Brian came home and wanted to get "intimate." I hadn't taken a shower and had taken a crap earlier, so I knew I was in no position hygienically to do any "intimate" things.

I took off my clothes and was about to get into the shower when I noticed the dark spots on the bottom of our bathtub, the kinds of marks that appear when you don't clean your bathtub.

We don't clean our bathtub regularly and I was just really bothered by it at the moment.

In my birthday suit, I walked into the kitchen to get our cleaning supplies and proceeded to clean the tub. When I finished doing that, I started cleaning the sink.

Brian came into the bathroom, looked at me cleaning the bathroom naked at 11:15pm and said "You're crazy."

I decided not to clean the toilet after he said that. My mother would have been proud of my tenacity though!

Um, yeah. I'm NEVER going to use that bathroom again. That is ALL I will think about now. Like the calendar wasn't enough!

Thanks for the visual!
