This is when I talk highly about myself

I pride myself on my creativity, especially when it comes to Brian.

For his 23rd birthday (when we'd been dating for almost 6 months, I took him to the symphony, ate at a very expensive restaurant, and rented a hotel room at the City Center Marriott in downtown Salt Lake City. His birthday present was a scrapbook I put together of our 6 months together.

For his 24th birthday, I made him a ceramic bowl for him (that he uses all the time).

I'm still thinking about what to get him for his 25th birthday, but I'm proud that all my gifts (and dates) have been very creative and fun.

Tonight, Brian was in charge of family home evening and he planned croquet. When he couldn't find a croquet set at Wal*Mart (really, how does that happen??), he bought a ball with Disney princesses on it. He said that we'd play games with this ball.

I was rather disappointed in family home evening because it really wasn't fun. Granted, Brian was handed the assignment at the last minute because Nathan removed himself from our group, but he really didn't put much effort into it. Next Monday will be fun because I'll be in charge of it!
