Fun Day: Movies and the Utah State Fair

Brian and I went on a fun date today! He took me to the planetarium to see "The Secret of the Cardboard Rocket." After that, we saw "The Brothers Grimm" at the Gateway. I thought the movie was a little long, but I did enjoy it.

Then we went to the Utah State Fair. At first, I really didn't want to go because, well, fairs aren't really my thing (even though I've had fantasies of walking with Brian at the State Fair and riding a Ferris wheel). But then I got over myself and went to the fair.

It turned out to be my favorite part of the date.

We played a game amongst all the straight cowboys by trying to find the gay boys there. When we found one/some, we'd say, "Look at those friends of ours." Needless to say, we didn't have many friends at the fair. There was one gay couple in the Ferris wheel line behind us, but they looked like they were on a first date because they weren't having any fun. In the whole time we watched them, they traded few words. On the Ferris Wheel, it looked like they were miserable. If I were in their situation, I would just tell the guy "It was nice to meet you, but I don't think that this will go anywhere. Have a nice day!"

I told Brian that when I see other couples not having fun or arguing, it makes me realize how happy I am being with him.

When I was trying to take pictures and it wasn't working (it was only me working the camera), I told Brian that someday I'm going to hire a professional photographer for vacations and other occasions that warrant great pictures. Brian said I was weird, but I told him that I want cute pictures of my family with me included in them (since I'd be the one taking pictures). Brian said I have a weird obsession with keeping history and I admitted that I did. It's one of the reasons I keep this blog.

Don't we look tough in front of the tank?

Us and the Ferris Wheel

Isn't he handsome?

When I got onto the Ferris Wheel, I forgot that I'm afraid of heights, hence the picture of me being scared.

Love in the air!

Brian got me a carmel apple and it was good.
