Senator Hatch is right about the Nutcakes
There were lots of Peace Protests across the country today and one was held here in Salt Lake City. I'm usually don't go to protests because I think they are dumb, ineffective, and only bring out the crazies. Today, I didn't have anything else to do and I enjoy seeing people expressing their freedom of speech.
I think most protesters are dumb and evidence of that appears in the pictures below. Rocky Anderson spoke (excuse me...I just barfed a little in my mouth). Scott and I hid our faces everytime a camera appeared in fear that a picture of us at this protest might appear later in our lives.
I approached one lady and asked her what her sign meant. She went into this long diatribe about war and used the Monroe Doctrine to emphasis her point. I said, "You mean the Monroe Doctrine on your sign spelled, 'M-A-N-R-O-E' "? Scott and I laughed. I was being mean. She kept on saying stuff but we just walked away.
Oh, and protesters smell.

Admit it, you were really there to stalk me. ;)
Keep in mind that there are lots of reasons for protest. They may be ineffectual at actually creating change, but they do inspire folks and help raise energy around issues.
