It's a Small World After All

Scott and I went to an art exhibit tonight by Sebastião Salgado. The photographs were very, very cool and I highly recommend the exhibit to anyone in the Salt Lake area. (One of the only criticisms Scott and I had were the wood frames for black and white photos).

I'll say this quickly: It annoys me when people behave passive aggressively. If someone really wants to go to something, but tells others they do not care about going, they can't get mad when other people go without them.

I admit that I sometimes engage in passive aggressive behavior, and I probably drive someone nuts.

Scott had been invited to a party put on his a co-worker, so we picked up Megan and Mckenna and headed over to the party.

When I walked in to the house, I saw a big guy in a dress that looked really familiar. I knew who I thought it was, but I didn't think this person would be at a party hosted by Scott's co-worker. As he and I looked at each other, a blonde girl came out from behind him and said, "Jesse?!"

It was my sister Amy and the man in the dress was her husband Tom. We laughed at the remote possibility that we were at the same party. Obviously, we entertained the cliche, "It's a small world!"

There was wine there, so I had one glass of red wine. Lately, I've really liked red wine more than white. As we were sitting at the table talking, someone said something funny so I laughed. Scott looked at me and said, "Settle down Jesse." I totally thought Scott was overreacting and teased him when we left. Yes, I was a bit intoxicated, but I wasn't wasted.

I told Megan and Scott it would be really fun to have a party in a dimly lit room where all we do is sit around a table and eat and drink wine.

When we left the party, I felt really great thanks to the fermented grapes. I love wine!

You SOMETIMES engage in passive aggressive behavior?!

I'll say this again, the ONLY way I ever know anything about what's going on with you is when I read it here.

And that really hurts me.

Not like you'd care though.
