Lawns, Cold Water, and a store to 'DI' for...
Brian had to wake up early to go to his new store. He'll be spending the next couple of weeks working 80 hours a week. It's a new job, a new store, so it's understandable that he's working so hard.
While he works, I have fun.
I went to Wendy's to rake leaves and cut some wood. I didn't mow the lawn because the grass wasn't long.
Megan met me at my house around 4:30pm so we could go get our Halloween costumes. Scott was studying and met up with us around 6pm. In the meantime, I went to our apartment complex office to complain.
You see, Brian and I have a 40 gallon water heater but only get 7 minutes of hot water. It really, really sucks! We've complained thrice before and the maintenance guys come by and say everything is fine. Everything is not fine when you can see white specs in the water and it gets cold when I'm still washing my hair.
So I went to the office and complained to the person there. Megan said I sounded mad, but I was only trying to sound serious. You try staying calm when you know you have to take a cold shower every other day!
Finally, Scott came over and we went to Deseret Industries (Mormon Thrift Store) to find stuff for our costumes. It was so funny to watch bourgeoisie Scott in a very proletariat enviornment. Scott didn't even like clothes touching him. Yes, he's like that. Megan found her Dorothy shoes and I found my shirt and pants.
After DI, we went to JoAnn's fabric in Taylorsville. We specifically went to that store because Megan said it has the most selection in the whole valley. What we didn't know is what an adventure it was going to be. Because it's such a funny story and kinda long, I'm making it another post altogether.

Excellent blog. It is *not* boring contrary to popular belief. I admire that you write in it so often. I'm trying to do that myself.
