Scott's Rule
Scott Michael Lowe is probably one of the smartest people I know. He's also probably the most responsible person I know. (And for you gay men out there, he's a hottie!)
He always does his homework on time, never procrastinates, studies like someone should, and goes to bed on time. I wish I had Scott's habits.
So, in order to become more successful like Scott is, I'm going to do something like Scott would.
Scott has a rule where he doesn't watch TV during the week. He has to either study or read for pleasure.
Tonight, I started following his rule. Instead of watching TV during dinner, I read Time magazine.
I really think this will help me become more studious and more focused in my life.

I haven't watched a tv show since I've been out here.
Thbbt.
Oh wait, do videogames count?
Ok, so a few things. This has more to do with the past few comments and not just this one. And, sorry, it's going to be long.
First, you need to stop comparing yourself to others (although, Scott is a good person to compare yourself to and gay men, he really is cute!). You always compare yourself to others and it's the one quality about you that I really can't stand.
If you try to emulate others or take on qualities of people you admire or want to be like, you lose a part of yourself.
You need to be happy with who you are. And I know you often say you are, but then you constantly put yourself down.
You are more smart and great than you give yourself credit fo.
Second, you are not lazy or childish. You put too much stress on yourself about being perfect or having eveything in you life be perfect.
You stress out way too easily and that affects your ability to accomplish things. Remember last year with your Communications classes? You would study and study and stress about failing then you'd go in there and the test was so easy and you did really well.
Instead of focusing on all the negative things you do (or don't do) think about something else.
It often seems that being perfect or doing things perfectly is more important to you than doing them. (Does that make sense?)
Finally, I realize that when I wake up earlier, I get more accomplished that day. Instead of not doing something (like not going to church) because you want to do something else (like not study), set a schedule in your head about what you want to accomplish that day.
You should wake up, go to early church and spend the rest of the day doing what you need to do that day. That way, you do what you want AND what you need to do.
I think you'll find that you will get more accomplished if you don't just think about doing something and actually do it.
That's all I can think of now. I have to go catch my train but I'm sure I'll think of more.
Love you!
(And happy b-day to me!)
