The Bottom-line Bottoms

On the way to the gym tonight, Brian and I continued the conversation we've been having on buying a house. Brian's working with his boss' wife to improve his credit enough to get a good loan (she is a credit counselor and mortgage officer). I mentioned that when he tries to find a good load, he should shop around instead of going with this woman who has been helping him.

Brian got butthurt and we had a discussion on what is more important: the bottom line or personal contact someone can give.

Tonight, I argued that the bottom line was most important. I even said that I'd buy a Sprint phone from someone else if they gave me a better deal. What I didn't say was that I really didn't believe it. I think personal relationships are more important, so I'd definitely pay a little more for better service.

While we were working out, Brian mentioned that having Scott move in with us would be fun. We all started joking about it, but I think Brian and Scott were more serious about it. Scott wants to move out of his parents' house and Brian thought it would be fun to have Scott live with him while I'm in Mexico.

I think it would be lots of fun to have Scott move in with us, but my biggest concern is really with how Scott would handle us. Brian and I are relatively clean, but the dishes sometimes pile up. I mentioned this to Scott, and he said he wouldn't really mind. I would have to change some habits, but I think it's doable.

Plus, it's always fun to have more people living under one roof!
