Brothers and Sisters
I just had a sad thought.
In Texas, they are voting on a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. While gay marriage is already illegal, Texas Republicans followed some other states to write it into their constitution.
Today, most of the people from my church in Texas voted for the amendment. The Abbott's, Andrus', Cluff's, Hathaway's, Lett's, Pace's, Solomon's, Taylor's, and the Wolfe's. All the people who I looked up to and respected voted against me today. All the people who taught me to be a good person as a teenager voted for an amendment that does not change law--only discriminate against a minority.
It really makes me sad.

That's a sad thing. People only see the difference among people. They forget God, if it exists, teaching them to LOVE.

It's sad to see my family's name in that list. Jesse, I'm afraid it seems that the only real way to change the mindset of society is to wait for a new generation to take its place.
(Sorry, I messed up with the previous comment)
It is unfortunate. I'm not talking to my brother this month because he was a "responsible citizen" and voted for the amendment.
