Jesse in Grantsville!

I left my house at 9:15am to drive out to Grantville, Utah. If you've never been there, it can be described as a very small town with a Mormon church on every corner. It's surrounded by lots and lots of empty land (that's the developer in me!).

My Aunt Julia lives there and she wanted help with her computer. While she's not comptuer illiterate, she's not an expert.

That's where I come in.

She basically needed help getting photo's off of her digital camera and putting them on her computer. I showed her how to do that and also gave her a great digital photo organizing program called Picasa. It's really user friendly and she really liked it (especially features that fixed the photo).

I also showed her and Uncle Eddie how to burn CD's.

I got there at 10am expecting to leave about 2 hours later. That didn't happen. I left their house at 4:20pm. I had a lot of fun hanging out with her and her family. The kids treated me like I was the greatest guy ever--when I first got there, they all wanted to sit by me and talk to me. They're really cute!

Since I left so early in the morning, I brought a unopened box of Apple Jacks to eat at their house. All the kids wanted some too, so I left the empty box at their house.

Living with Brian, we don't get much interaction with families. It was nice to go to hang out with the Martin family because it reminded me of my home and growing up. I hope that the house I make for my family will feel like theirs.
