Losing a DVD can bring out the ugly in people

Last Friday after the movie, we drove to the club to find Will Carlson's car. Scott had borrowed a DVD (Eating Out with NO frontal nudity!) from him awhile ago and Will wanted it back. Scott (and the rest of us) didn't want to drive all the way to his house, so instead we went to the parking lot of a gay club where we suspected Will's truck was parked.

It was there, so Scott wrapped the DVD in newspaper and put on his windshield.

Today, Scott texted messaged me saying that Will wanted his movie. I guess someone fag decided to steal it. I told Scott that I would pitch in to buy a new one (since it was kinda my fault too), but Scott graciously declined.

Why am I telling this story?

When I told a friend about the situation, they laughed and thought it was funny. When I mentioned that it sucked and we'd have to buy a new DVD, they asked why. They said that it was Will's fault that he didn't receive it. They even went as far as saying that Will was lying about the whole thing.

I didn't expect this mean rhetoric from this friend, so I was very surprised when I heard it. This person and Will don't get along, but I thought it was incredibly rude and discourteous to say that the situation was Will's fault.

Even though we may not like certain people, I think every person deserves to be treated with manners.
