My Roommate for Mexico
I had a study abroad meeting tonight with all the students that are going to Mexico with me. Not having a designated roommate, I knew that any one of the guys I met tonight could be living with me for 10 weeks.
I glanced at all the guys and noticed one thing: most of them were hotties! There were a few nerdly looking ones, but most of them were very good-looking. I really wanted to be roommates with a good-looking guy mostly because pretty people are usually more fun to be around. I wondered if I should just chance it or actually ask someone to be my roommate (though just asking someone might be seen as weird).
The meeting ended and as I was getting up to leave, this guy walks up to me and asks if I have a roommate.
"Uh, no I don't," I replied.
"Do you want to be my roommate?" he asked.
Honestly, my first thought was to ask him if he'd be okay rooming with a gay guy, but I thought that would be a self-defeating question.
"Sure!" I said in the most non-gay voice.
Out of our whole group, he was the best looking and I couldn't believe he was asking me! He was actually one of the guys I was thinking about asking, but I thought I might look weird asking someone. His name is Austin and he's from California. One of the nice things is that he has a girlfriend and really wants to learn Spanish (which is exactly what I want in a roommate). I think he and I will be a good match.
When Brian got home, I told him I had good news and bad news.
"The bad news is that most of the guys going to Mexico with me are really hot. The good news is that my roommate is straight!"
