To regard with blind admiration or devotion
Do we idolize people that we don't even know?
In my case, yes. There are lots of people that I "know" who don't know who I am. That person you always see at school who you think is gorgeous but you never say hi. The food service worker at the University of Utah that also works at the dollar movie.
Or that blogger that writes a great blog that you read everyday.
I received an email from Toby at www.vividblurry.com who said he read this post. The email was so incredibly nice, sincere, and unexpected. It was exciting to be recognized by a person that I "know" who didn't know me.
Very cool.

It's funny, I can't even read that site because BYU internet blocks it for "pornography". I cannot wait until I am free from the censoring hand of Brigham Young.

I've got to tell you, I think *your* blog is great, and I read it every day. What's great about it is how amazingly open you are about your life. You share things that most people wouldn't think of sharing with other than a close friend or two, much less the world.
And your old journals: Reading what you had to say 12 years ago, and then fast-forwarding to the present is not only fascinating, but, actually, endearing.
By the way, I happened upon your blog after doing a Google search. I don't remember the exact search term, but it included the word "weird." Your blog was listed at #5 out of more than 96,000 search-engine hits. Pretty wild, yes?
FYI, I'm (coincidentally) a gay man who's in an extremely long-term relationship -- so I'm not roaming the Internet looking for hot guys. I just have always been, and always will be, deeply interested in what makes people the individuals they are.
