Goals for 2006

I'm sitting here on New Years Eve by myself thinking about the past year. 2005 was an up and down one for me; I don't know if one side was more pervasive than the other.

I would say that my biggest accomplishment of the year was keeping it together with Brian when times were hard for us. He was out of town way too much, something I had never experienced before. The next time it happens (like my Mexico trip), we'll be able handle it better.

My biggest failure of the year was how I handled my friendships. I became less close to one best friend because of my inability to communicate effectively with that person. I also did not maintain older friendships because I was "too busy." In 2006, I want to fix one friendship and maintain my other ones. I need to plan ahead to spend time with all the great friends I've made throughout my life.

Here are my Goals for 2006.
  1. Send a birthday card to every person I care about.
  2. Spend time with five "old" friends a month rather than my regular group of friends.
  3. Go on a "Fun Day" with Brian every month that I am in charge of it.
  4. Start my own business.
  5. Take the GRE and apply to graduate school.
  6. Learn Spanish.
  7. Take EMT training and become a state-certified EMT.
  8. Pay off all my credit cards.
  9. Step on a scale and weigh 160 pounds.
  10. Travel to El Salvador and get to really know the Spanish speaking side of my family.
My eleventh goal that is to finish the DVD's for my family. It's a leftover from 2005 so I won't put it into the nice list above.

I hope I can achieve all ten goals.
