My Apprentice Thoughts

I've never watched The Apprentice before, but this season hooked me (probably because I was missing Kathy Hilton's reality TV show).

The season finale aired tonight so Brian (who doesn't watch the show) and I sat down to watch it. Randall (the eventual winner) had been my favorite all season long and I knew from the first episode that he was going to win. He was a great leader, highly educated, and such a nice person.
Tonight's episode revealed how much of an ass people can turn into when they succeed.

After the Donald told Randal he was hired, he asked Randal, "Now that you are hired, what do you think about Rebecca?" Randal said lots of nice things about Rebecca because they had worked closely together.

Then the Donald said, "Randal, if you were me, would you hire Rebecca, also?" The crowd went wild and the Donald had a smile on his face because he loves theatrics. Rebecca became excited at the prospect of also being hired.

I became elated screaming at Brian, "I knew he was going to do that! I knew it!" I really fell in love with Rebecca so I was happy that he might hire both.

Then Randal said, "No, Mister Trump. There is only one apprentice. It's not the apprenti." The crowd booed Randal and so did I! He was such an ass!

Donald said, "Okay then. I could have been easily convinced to hire both of you." You could see that Rebecca was pissed and upset with Randal's decision.

I think power at any level should be shared with those that helped you get there. Randal and Rebecca worked together to win some challenges against other teams. I was truly disappointed and Randal no longer became my favorite. I don't think allowing her to get second place would have taken anything away from Randal.

Some individuals are calling the Donald a racist because he wanted to have two winners. I think that's ridiculous. Kwame, as far as I understood it, didn't win because of the fiasco that Omarosa caused. This season, there were two qualified candidates and one candidate hogged the limelight.
