Temper Temper

I had a study abroad meeting this afternoon. I'm getting more and more excited about Mexico.

Tonight, I sat at home editing home videos but I wanted to go shopping in preparation for my family's Christmas party tomorrow. Russell was arriving around 9pm, so I called Scott to see if he wanted to shop with me. He said he was doing homework, so he declined. I decided that I would just wait until 9pm.

Brian came home at 8:30pm and was in a bad mood from work. He was being so negative that I told him he should stay home rather than pick up Russell with me. He said no and came with me.
Russell always gets off the TRAX station at the Delta center and tonight was no different. When I neared the Delta Center, I realized that there was an event there and there were tons of people exiting the building. I knew it was going to be much harder to find Russell (who doesn't own a cell phone). As I signaled to turn left at a fourway light, a cop got into his car and closed off the street I was about to turn onto. I was obviously pissed and said, "What a jerk! I was signaling left!"

Brian, who was upset already, became more upset at my comment. He became so irritable that I told him that I was done and didn't want to talk about it anymore. We picked up Russell and stopped at Smith's to get food.

Russell commented that Brian wasn't being himself to which he replied, "Well, I'll get in trouble if I talk." I rolled my eyes and told Brian that he was in a bad mood and not fun to be around. Eventually, Brian overcame his mood and started being fun.
