Yo cambié mi actitud y siempre fue bien.

Austin and I had to wake up after only 3 hours of sleep. Ech!

As we walked toward the bus that was going to take us to Ciudad de Mexico, Austin told me that last night was an "experience" and that he'll "never do it again." "I felt like a piece of meat" he said. He went on and on about what a bad experience it was. It really annoyed me, but it annoyed me evern more when he repeated everything to everyone on the bus. People knew we were going, so they were interested in how Austin was with last night.

I usually don't feel like an outsider because I'm gay, but I really felt that way on the bus. No one asked me about how my night was, just the straight guy at the gay club. I think it was made worse because Austin kept dogging the club. Additionally, Austin didn't take a seat next to me--he took one next to Andrew. Yes, this overdramatic, insecure, and needy gay man took that as a sign that Austin didn't like me. That's also why I felt badly.

I saw Lauren and she asked me if I was mad that she and Beth didn't show up last night. I frankly told her yes (and not in a joking manner). I think she was a little weirded out by my serious response, so she grabbed my nose and said something funny. Just when things couldn't get any worse, I started bleeding from my nose. It was awful! I felt so stupid walking off the bus to go to the bathroom (the bus was already at a pitstop).

I remembered the quote by Eleanor Roosevelt ("No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.") and decided to change my attitute. I sat next to Sara Bridge and talked to her.

In Mexico City, we saw lots of Frida stuff and it was really boring. It was so boring that I started to make up Helen Keller jokes. I always make them up here in Mexico and everyone knows I tell them. Someone told me that now, everytime she thinks about Helen Keller, she will think of me.

Here are some of the best jokes we made today:

  • Why was Helen Keller so skinny? She was on the see-food diet.
  • What did Diego Rivera and Helen Keller have in common? They couldn't see their toes.
  • Why did people call Helen Keller "brown eye"? Because it was her only eye that worked.

Some people don't like my jokes, but I love them!

We got back to Cuernavaca around 8pm. Mamá is still out of town. Austin and I watched "Enough" with Jennifer Lopez (which I really liked). Although we only had 3 hours of sleep, we finished the movie at 2am.

Mamá has a computer in her house, but I've never seen her use it. Yesterday, I noticed the cable modem, so tonight (since she was gone) I turned it on to check my email. I felt kinda badly, but I really wanted to check my email!
