Dinero Grande

I checked my bank account today and found my tax refunds (state and federal) AND my tuition reimbursement money. I got about $1000 from federal and $192 from state. The big numbers in my account made me excited, but also sad because most of the money is going toward bills. I paid off one of my credit cards and put all $1200 tuition reimbursement money on another card.

I'm leaving tonight to go on Spring Break, so I went to Wal*Mart with Austin, Samantha, and Logan to get supplies. I found some cute board shorts and this tight swimsuit (to go under the board shorts). The only problem with the board shorts are that they had mesh underwear. When I got home, I used some sissors to cut the mesh stuff out.

When I packed for Zihuatenaho, I brought 2 pairs of shorts, undershirts, underwear, a sweatshirt, and lots of other clothes that turned out to be useless and wasteful. This time, I packed very lightly--only one pair of shorts, no undershirts, 3 pairs of underwear, no sweatshirt, and that's about it. At Wal*Mart, I contemplated buying a large backpack, but decided against it to save money. After I finished packing, I felt good about what I had packed. I'm bringing a backpack and a dufflebag; Austin is only bringing a backpack.

AUstin and I met Carla, Samantha, and Logan on the street where we took a bus to a bus station. We boarded the next bus to Mexico City.

We had to take a taxi from the bus station in Mexico City to another bus station, so we caught a cab. Since there were 5 of us, one person had to sit in the front. Carla said, "Jesse, why don't you sit in the front since you are the biggest." I teasted her the whole ride to the bus station about calling me "fat."

We waited in the bus station for our bus to Oaxaca, Mexico. I wanted a "hot dog real bad", so I found one. In the resturant area, there was even a Church's Chicken! I thought that was pretty weird.

"Oh gosh! You look like the 4th of July."

Or are you talking about another "kind of hot dog?" (I apologize for R-Rated comment, Becky.)
