Spring Break: Day 6

I cheated on Brian last night, but it wasn't my fault. I was sharing a bed with Samantha and in the middle of the night, I got up to go to the bathroom. When I was up, my underwear was all sticky--I just had a wet dream with a girl in the bed. I can't believe it happened!!

We ate breakfast and then got ready to leave our hostel. I took a Cosmo from the hostel because I wanted to read it later. I sat in an internet cafe with Logan while the rest of them went to the bus station to buy tickets for our return trip to Cuernavaca.

When they came back, we caught a bus toward the beach town of Mazunte. The bus dropped us off in the middle of nowhere and we had to catch a ride on this truck to get to the beach. The truck was basically a small Toyota truck with benches in the back and covered in a tarp. It was very 3rd world and a little scary, but after I got out and was safe, I thought it had been a little fun.

Mazunte is a small beach only about a quarter of a mile long. There are a couple of restaurants and hostel type places that line the beach. Typical of a small beach with not many people, hammocks were abundantly available. At first, I wanted a bed with a mosquito net, but then I decided to be adventurous and get a hammock. It helped that everyone else was also doing it.

We were all hungry, so after we put our stuff down near our hammocks, we went to one of the restaurants. I ordered a club sandwich, something I've never eaten before, because Austin ordered one and recommended it. It was a great decision! I hope club sandwiches in the states are as good as this sandwich was.

It was about 5pm when we finished lunch. Logan, Carla, and Austin went into the ocean to play while Samantha and I sat on the beach and relaxed. I pulled out my Cosmo that I took from the hostel earlier in the day and read it. I don't know why, but I love reading Cosmo and might get a subscription when I get back to the states. Yes, oh so very gay. I did have a lot of fun with Samantha when we did the Cosmo quiz. It felt like a perfect moment: I was on a beach in Mexico doing a Cosmo quiz with a girlfriend. I absolutely loved it! It was like a scene out of a movie and a great vacation moment. We stayed on the beach until the sun set.

Once it was dark, Samantha and I laid in our hammocks and talked. Actually, we played a fun game I made up. Each person says one word in making up a story. We made up a story about a boy named Arbol who looked like a tree that died on his school playground when he touched the school nurses boobs. We laughed and laughed and laughed as we told the story. She got tired and I still wasn't ready to go to bed, so I went and found Carla and Austin who were talking to some German guys. I sat with them for about an hour and then was ready for bed.

As I laid in my hammock, I couldn't get the "others" from the TV "Lost" out of my head and scarred myself. I hate having such an active imagination because I always scare myself and end up not going to sleep.
