Does it matter if it's right or wrong?
Someone made this comment on my abortion post:
"I am glad that you are against abortion. But you should also be against being homosexual. God is against perversions of every kind. It is not clean and pure Search the scriptures and search your heart. The lord can help you get on the right path of God if you strive for truth and goodness. You will feel better about your life!!I am not judging you as a person you seem like a great guy! you are handsome too! Why don't you like girls? Alot of girls would like you! Who taught you that it is ok, to be homosexual, I want you to know it is a lie! someone has lied to you! You were not born that way, that is a lie too!!!! I don't want you to think that I hate you as a person, because i don't i just know there are many deceptions in this world. Don't let these lies pull you down. Read the bible and get prepared for Christ to come back. It is getting closer. I hope you don't mind me telling you this I am not saying this to you out of hate. I wish you a happy life."The writer makes many assumptions. She assumes that homosexuality is a perversion, that I feel badly about my life, girls don't like me, and that someone taught me that being gay is okay. While the first assumption may be true to her, the last three are very inncorrect. I imagine the person who wrote this is a teenage girl who came across my blog. I think the main problem with her type of thinking is that she truly doesn't understand what she's saying.
I don't feel badly about my life. Sure, I think it's pretty weird that I like guys. I even mention to Brian sometimes, "Don't you think it's weird that we are both guys who are attracted to each other?" Butt is what it is. Sexuality is not as changable as the writer assumes--trust me, I've tried. But being in love, something I never thought would happen, is one of the greatest things I've ever experienced.
Why don't I like girls? I don't know. Some women are very beautiful but I've never been sexually attracted to them. But girls like me! I've had many close girl friends and I will continue to make them.
I think it's funny when people think that gay people were told being gay is okay without realizing that heterosexuality was the norm that most gay people saw. My parents, my church, my movies and television shows all portrayed heterosexuality as the norm. No one said being gay was okay--I had to realize it myself after years of self-hatred. The lies that the writer speaks of never existed for me.
Many gays would take the writer's words in offense, but I didn't. In fact, most people who say similar things don't offend me because they do not understand what they are saying. When Christ was on the cross, he prayed saying, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). Gays need to have the same sentiment towards all people who disagree with their lifestyle.

Sentiment.
that chick is why the title "christianity" lost it's meaning.
because Jesus totally hung out with gay people, and he loved them too.
p.s.-- we girls love gay men. they're not bitchy like other girls, and yet you can shop with them. how more pefect can you get?
"Sure, I think it's pretty weird that I like guys."
Sigh.
um, didn't we have this conversation already? like 5 years ago? haha
sodom and gomorrah tastes like salt.
Eventually Jesus will call in the whipmaster.
I got to admit though, Jesse is a nice guy.
(If people are going to hate Gay's based on the fact that the bible codemns homosexual relations, they should also hate any straight person who enters into a pre-marital sexual relationship (fornicaters and adulterers as well), and that's a whole lot of people to hate!)
